Chapter 5: My Royal Birthday 2014 Part II - D-Day

Shall continue with my post with the actual day happenings.

This birthday felt so different and warm compared to what I actually have these years. Perhaps because we are getting older, and friends these days are pretty hugged tightly with their busy schedule. We have lesser time for each other. Which was why I felt so loved this birthday. I really appreciate the ones that really went on and made my day so memorable.

On my birthday's eve, it seems like a normal working day. Tadah~~~ I got punked!

When I thought all my colleagues have forgotten my birthday, a Strawberry Shortcake appeared. 

Never thought they would remember. <3

Why did I say so, that's because usually we have celebration for colleagues on their actual at around 3.30pm, before our peak hour at 4pm. It was then around 4.30pm there wasn't any form of "signal" so I thought they might have forgotten. They came in at the busiest time around 4.40pm. Felt so loved. Really very surprised. That would also mean that I have to settle all the cutting and distribution myself because everyone would get very busy after I blow my candles. I am still very touched because they did remember and they even sacrifice some busy time for a mini surprise for me.

Left work on the dot that day as every colleagues are very understanding. Headed to Vivocity there to pay my favourite Ohvola at Kiss Jane a visit. Tried a few pieces but nothing really attracted me to buy.

Went home there after. Showered and masked, around 11-ish intending to turn in early to get ample rest before My day comes. Then the clock strikes 12, I was embraced by messages of heart-warming wishes from both family and friends. It was a pity the sister is not around. She was usually the first one to wish me every year.

This year I also received very special birthday cards from my Instagram. <3

I really like receiving cards and it has been so long I received one. It is the thoughts and effort that is magnificent and making me felt so much appreciated. Thanks so much for all well wishes.

Almost every friends of mine knows that I really like Instagram and I guess this explain why my Instagram were flooded with wishes this time round compared to other social medias. Regardless of whichever social media you guys have chosen. I thank you for remembering my special day.

Excitement did not hold me very long as the Friday before my birthday I had a really tiring and fulfilling work day. I rested shortly after I read and respond to most of the messages.

I woke up at 7am despite sleeping at 2am. With my planned iternary, I was up to ensure make-up is properly done before heading out to the salon.

What I prepared for quite some time before D-day. Teehee.

After grooming, met up with my partner of crime for D-day and went to our 1st Stop - Far East Plaza and SCAPE for some mini shopping before lunch. 

But first let me take a few selfies while my make up is still fresh.

Did some minor shopping around. Pampered myself and enjoying the slow-paced day. Feeling great in everything new head to toe.

Have shared lunch at Su SuperStar @ SCAPE because we were famished.

 It was really awesome. :D Piping hot but shiok!

Proceeded to do more shopping before heading to our 2nd Stop - Plaza Singapura.

Shopped at my 2nd favourite online store The Blush Inc pop-up store and then had our proper late lunch/dinner at the Swensens~!  

 F has Mushroom Spaghetti in Creme Sauce, and I had Teriyaki Chicken Spaghetti. We had Fried Mushrooms and Fries as our sides.

There is no way that we are not full there after. 

Headed to our 3rd Stop - Teo Heng @ Hotel Rendezvous.

It was my maiden try to Teoheng and we were 5 minutes late. After purchasing some drinks we proceeded straight into our big room. I wouldn't say I had a great experience that time as we only booked 2 hours of singing time, and in that 2 hours, our mic when out of batteries for at least 6 times :\ No doubt the session is consider cheap considering that it is in the heartland of town. Ferlyna's boyfriend came to join us in the middle of our session, and after sharing the cost each of us only pays around $11 including drinks. Sang some of our favourite songs when we were in our Secondary School days and did some crazy dance moves we can remember.

Finally we come to the final stop of the day - Movie @ Cathay Cineleisure.

I chose a movie that I liked and pre-booked it because it is a block buster movie new that week - X-Men Days of Future Past. 

X-Men series has all along been my all time favourite with Mystique being my favourite character.

She may be a villain in the series against Homo Sapiens, but she was doing it because she wanted to be herself and only trying to safe guard her kind bringing peace to her common race, and in this movie it was proven that she is kind in nature. Enjoy the movie in every bits and pieces, because the details along each movie series linked really well enough.

Besides Mystique I thought I liked how Fan Bing Bing protrayed Blink in this sequel movie.

Though she didn't have much parts for this time but I felt she manage to capture my attention on how she protray this character. From her actions and her expressions, I felt she made a good start in this movie. Honestly I didn't recognise her from the first time I saw the movie. The make-up is really amazing at disguising her. :)

It was a really fun and fruitful day spent with you, and later your boyfriend, and I am so grateful for your presence as I enjoy every single details of D-day so much that I didn't spend much time on photo-taking. Besides my 16th and 21st this is the other Birthday I enjoy so much that I can't stop reminiscing it. Knowing you for the 11th year and finally reunion after a few months ago made me really felt blessed and loved. 你是知己、亦是知心。With you around I always do not need to explain anything too much. I am grateful and thankful for that you are around.

Have to special thanks the couple for dropping me home after the long day of walking. I couldn't really feel my legs when I reached home.

Just when I thought my day is over; no there was another surprise that came.

The little sister who was staying over at Sentosa came home with these Hello Kitty cakes, though she left house way before I reached home her effort was really appreciated.

I literally zonked out right after that, but I really love how the day was spent. Appreciate in every single way. Thank you F for accompanying me the whole day. The day wouldn't be that enjoyable without you. <3

Chapter 4: My Royal Birthday 2014 Part I - Pre - Birthday

I have always wanted a platform where I could keep some details so that I could look back when I get a little older.

It's already June. Time flies, and we are half-way through year 2014.

Definitely in the month of May, which would be super eventful for me every year, was no different this year. I anticipate so much for and it came in no surprise. And why so? Its the Birthday Month.

Besides my 16th birthday, it was my 21st birthday that made me felt like a princess. This year the feel is back, as a number of close friends remember my special day and went out for a mini celebration for me. Felt so loved.!

First up I have my Tracy Baby. We went for a light dinner and then headed for a movie called Bad Neighbours. I must say Zac Efron have been the only actor that I am fond of since his High School Musical times. He is just so talented. This movie is no disappointment. Thanks for selecting this movie dearie.!

T dear has been really sweet to me ever since she start working around my area. Have been catching up with her during our lunches and I would say she really 有心了, because my dear girl actually remember I like melon-flavoured stuffs and bought me Pocky sticks~ <3 I ate them really well.

Dearest G was the 2nd in line to celebrate my special day.

It was a Thursday she has chosen due to her busy work schedule. Due to my work timing we only could meet each other after 8pm. Though it was a short meet-up but it was really fruitful and enjoyable. We chosen Charlie Brown Cafe for my special day. <3

Though I only know her for around 1 year, I really feel appreciative for her presence and being so sweet all this while. So glad to have her in my life. :)

Have a really great talk with her that night. Food at Charlie Brown Cafe is really splendid, just waited slightly longer that day :| Waited for around 45 minutes. Might not be back for the next time. But it is still after all a super enjoyable day for me.

My buddy waited quite a while for me to take picture with him. LOL.

All this while thank you for being such a daughter. Thank you for being with me like before. 11th-year and counting. Thank you for not forgetting me always. May our friendship be this strong forever. It is never easy to find time and effort to meet up friends that you haven't meet for so long. I am grateful you went an extra mile for me. Long-last our friendship.

Thanks for always being there when I need a listening ear. Thank you for all your advises. Thank you for being so sweet for me all this while. Life isn't the same after I got to know you. Really glad that you are part of my life now. May you always be so pretty and healthy. <3

 I am always grateful for the bunch of friends from different spectrum of my life that stayed on with me all this while. Thank you for being with me. We may not be meeting all the times, but gladly we have each other in life and never once forgotten each other. May you guys be blessed as always. Love ya.

Chapter 3: Project Superstar Audition & Mommy's Family Day

Whees! This June, seems pretty fruitful to start with.

By now many of my friends probably have known; I attempt my chance to shine on stage last Saturday. It was really crowded. I reached at 8.50am and there were many hopefuls there queuing for their chance to shine. Spotted quite a number of friends who are trying their chances after this 8-year wait. :>

I was practising for a few songs for the past  few weeks and finally finalised with 王心凌 - You're My Only Love. Though the song ain't the main track of her 6th album but every single word in the song is captivating and I felt it was pretty catchy.

Was playing this song on loop for past few days whilst sleeping in hope that I would not forget any part of the lyrics when I am in a tense environment. Kept singing to friends and seek for some advises before "the battle".

There is a Chinese saying,"台上一分钟；台下十年功". It is definitely understood when I was in the queue going through my preparation process in my mind. I would say when everyone there is humming their own tune,while some did some warm up the atmosphere was pretty peculiar. I felt the excitement and nervousness within me simultaneously.

The wait was never compromising. Waited about 3 hours for registration and finally got to register.

Then there was another 2 hours of wait before we would be called into respective holding area, before we perform. Was pretty nervous when I was finally called up together with a group to Room 2, which was situated at the canteen of Mediacorp. We settled in the canteen patiently waiting for our numbers to be called. Then it was another another 2 hours of wait in an enclosed area as the judges need to take their lunch, since its around 1pm then. I have to say my group of hopefuls are really strong ones. Amongst us there were ex-Campus Superstar contestants, vocal coach and even singers from elsewhere. Nonetheless I kept myself compose and ready. After all I wish I could just enjoy the process.

Gotten myself more less nervous when I was performing, and I have to say already done my best, no regrets. :>

Headed to Sentosa right after my audition, because it was the Mother's company Family Day~! Never thought I would be so sporty. I changed into their event tee on the spot.!

I have to admit I have really little tolerance to heat. Soon I requested to chill at McCafe as we were only allowed to enter Universal Studios Singapore after 7pm.

Did a little shopping with the sister before we started playing.

Met a familiar face when I went in!

Became a one night tour guide to my first time parents in the play. I guess it was really fun. The parents were also enjoy themselves in the process. It was a pity that little sis have to leave slightly early that night. I wasn't actually ready for pictures most of the time that night, as I began to have heat rashes due to the intense humidity (Awww Man...) Nonetheless the whole process is really enjoyable with such supportive parents. We played all the way up till 11.45pm and by then I was really dread tired.

Love fruitful my day was trying to realise my dreams, and still having ample time for my family. I really appreciate how blessed I am. I would love to spend everyday like this doing things I love. God bless my family always.

Chapter 2 : Something Fun Coming Up~!

It feels like I just countdown yesterday and today is Mid-year already. So fast! Thank God it is finally Friday.

I have been planning to try something fun tomorrow. Be it I pass through or not I would love to just enjoy the process. Best of luck to me~!
